Accept my best wishes Your Excellency Sir! May the Almighty God increase you in good health.

Sir, permit me to ask that, who is in the habit of leaking official letters under your watch which is passed becoming contagious? Is it the Presidency's officials or the persons writing the letters? As far as I know leaking official letters is against the public service rule. In the light of this, in my view, you should and or must investigate it!

However, if it is true that the NNPC's -GMD did not consult or resorts to NNPC's Board vetting or approval on the issues of the recent "appointment" and "contracts award" without due process in NNPC he is wrong and in my understanding the State Minister of Petroleum Resources is right to have written a letter especially in view of the fact that he alleged that he has been trying to book an appointment with you but to no avail. On the other hand, what I find highly unacceptable is the leaking of the letter. Who leaked it? Mr President Sir, this should be investigated. Could it be that the Minister or Presidency's officials leaked it? Who ever leaked it in my view should no go unpunished.

It is a constitutional duties of all the Heads of Agencies or Departments of Government to resort to their Boards approval before making certain decisions, such as: employment, promotion, dismissal and issuance of major contracts etc. A Board is a recognized group of people who jointly oversee the activities of an organization. Is it true that the NNPC's -GMD bypassed the NNPC's Board? If Yes, why? As far as I know bypassing the NNPC's Board or any other Board by any Government official is illegal. If the NNPC's -GMD is acting within the law he has nothing to fear. Submitting ourselves to our laws is the way to go.

Permit me to observe that, in my understanding, some of your "appointees " are not on the same "page" with you. Nigeria's know you to be largely"intolerant" to "corruption" and "indiscipline". I know too very well that "allegation" is not "conviction" but if it is not properly investigated and appropriate sanction applied it would damage ones reputation. In my humble suggestion, you should and or must increase "speed" in your governance style especially in the area of "investigation " and  "decision making".

Mr President Sir, making a mistake is what makes us human. Taking a longer time to decide on an issue will never prevent a mistake . You need to take decision on SGF. Failure to decide is deciding to fail, it is better to decide and fail than to fail to decide. The society may forgive you for making a wrong decision but will never forgive you for failure to decide.  In my humble opinion, there are some issues that need longer time for consultation before making decision and those that require quick decision.

In my view, the leaking of official letters is a public sector "bleeding" which must be stopped in order to save the country from embarrassment. Some people must be punished on the issue of leaking of official letters. It is observed that the officials of your Government are working at cross purposes. This must be changed.

As Nigerians we must insist on doing the right thing without regional or ethnic consideration. Nigerians must stop from trying to give everything ethnic consideration.

May God bless Nigeria!
