KANIWOOD SCANDAL: TWO WRONGS WILL NEVER MAKE A RIGHT!

Rahama Sadau, an "actress" in the Nigerian Kaniwood has on the recent time dominated social media discussion especially among the "Hausa" Film lovers alike. Some people under the "guise" of social "justice" and "equality" are of the view that her recent "suspension" shows "injustice" and discrimination against her as according to them there are "actors" who have done (previously) worse than what she did.

It is a fact that, "social sanction" applies more on a "woman" who got "impregnated" by a "man" than him. Please, get me correctly, I say" SOCIAL" not "LEGAL" SANCTION . The reason is very simple, any unmarried lady seen with a pregnancy it means something "fishy" has happened. God forbid, everywhere the woman goes to she carries the pregnancy along side unlike a man. You do not need further proof! 

Immoral act whether done by a "man" or a "woman" is "condemnable". The none "punishment" of the previous alleged offenders will never "legalise" or justify and or make her recent act of "misconduct RIGHT". To protect and preserve our morality as people "sanction" most start and begin with someone to serve as a "deterrent" to would-be offenders. 

Film-making or Music or Poetry which are all aspect of "Literature" are supposed to be used in promoting societal norms, values, beliefs, custom and costumes of a particular set of people. However, I notice with serious concern that our Film making in Nigeria instead of promoting our "values" is more or less giving emphases on money making. 

American Films are mostly on war always trying to show American superior power especially in "Air force" capacity. American Film industry (Hollywood) has turned virtually all the wars that America fought into Film. Their Films always show their superior powers in Military capacity. The Chinise Film industry, if you watch, is nothing but purely the Chinese culture. It is always very amazing watching the Chinise "KUNG FU" fight and their Medicine called "Acupuncture". The Indian Bollywood has been very up and doing in promoting the Hindi values. 

Sadly to note, Kaniwood has only specialized in promoting India-Americo values than the "HAUSA" values it claims to promote. Apart from the language in Hausa Film what is of Hausa culture, norms and values? The Nigerian Film Industry, on other hand, is more of Anglo-Americo Films than Nigerian culture and
. Instead of using the industry to promote our African and Nigerian values we are on the one hand busy undermining our values. 

Films are supposed to teach you about the people culture, norms, values, beliefs, history, custom and costumes etc., assuming you a teacher of Hausa language in an American University can you ask your students to watch the present Hausa Films in order to learn more about the Hausa people?

Two wrongs will never make one right! Let’s preserve as well as promote our values.
