To start with, from 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2019 there were "litigations" over the results of elections announced by INEC expect of course in 2015 when there wasn't any, but the respective "winners" of those elections were inaugurated on May 29. The runners up Chief Olu Falae in 1999, General Buhari In 2003, 2007, and 2011 filed suits against the results announced, but the winners were sworn in on May 29.

Thanks to those who are "aggrieved" on the results announced by INEC for taking the civilize "paths" of going to court to seek for justice. Let us allow the judiciary to do its job in accordance with the laws of the land. Let no one instigates violence in the name of elections "rigging" or "manipulation" in the just concluded elections. As civilized people let us allow peace to continue to rain while the court does its work. We need to maintain peace Before- During- and After the upcoming inaugurations of our various political leaders from federal to our respective states. Violence does not do anybody any good. We urge the judiciary to be fair and just to everybody in accordance with the laws of the land.

We are grateful to the Almighty God that the 2023 general elections is largely relatively peaceful despite all the "tension" and "apprehension" in the country. Incidences of "Pre"-elections and "Post"- elections violence recorded are relatively low . Let us have a hitch free inaugurations at all levels. Let us resist all temptations by the enemy of peace and progress. Thanks to the awareness created by various stakeholders before-during and after the 2023 general elections. It is apt to state that violence is a great "threat" to our survival and development as a people and as a country. We must guard the relative peace being enjoyed across the country jealously.

Let us caution our youth who are more vulnerable to perpetrating violence. The youth are often being used by our selfish politicians to perpetrate violence. We must therefore, caution our youth to resist all manners of "temptation" from selfish politicians who are often the sponsors of violence. We must make our youth understand that there is always life after elections. No one should sacrifice his life for the "ambition" of any politician. Our youth should not jeopardize their future for the "ambition" of any politician. We must not let selfish politicians "plunge" our country into an avoidable crisis. Let's keep the peace before- during and after the inauguration!

We are all witnesses to unimaginable destructions in the 2011 Post- election violence in some states of the federation. Most of its victims will never recover for life. It caused lost of hundreds of thousands of lives. Hundreds of people lost their arms and limps which they have to live with for the rest of their dear lives. Thousands of women became widows in just a day. Thousands of children were made orphans overnight. Properties worth billions of naira were permanently lost. The "parents" and "wards" have a great deal of responsibility in cautioning their "children" and "wards" against being used for perpetrating violence. "Parents" and "wards" must continually caution their "children" and "wards" against participating in violence.

Our politicians who mount the "podium" or use the "media" must be responsible in their choice of "words" while addressing their supporters. Our religious clerics who mount the "pulpit" should and or must be responsible too by continually preaching peaceful inaugurations. The print media "editors" must always remember their responsibility of promoting peace and stability in the society. The "production managers" of the electronic or broadcast media also have the same responsibility as the "editors" in the print media. The media must not let its "platforms" at whatever price to be used by selfish politicians, religious entrepreneurs, regional bigots, and ethnic entrepreneurs to trigger violence.

The social media whose most users are youth must have a great deal of "self restraint" in their conduct while on social media. In the social media we do not have "editors" and broadcast "production mangers" as in the print and electronic or broadcast media as such we must be responsible social media users. More so, the youth must be reminded that the future belongs to them as such their "words" or "post"on social media must be carefully chosen. The youth must resist all manners of temptations from selfish politicians in order to maintain peace and stability in our society.

In my observation, as it is, electoral offenders in Nigeria almost get away with all manners of electoral offences. There is hardly a deterrent for would be electoral offenders ! For us to get it right, It is high time we establish an Independent body charge with the responsibility of "Investigating" and "prosecuting" of electoral offenders in order to serve as a deterrent to would be electoral offenders.

May God bless Nigeria!
